Hilary Matson

Hilary Matson is influenced by everything she sees, feels and experiences. Her work reflects the passion she has for the outdoors, strolling by the seaside, enjoying mountain vistas or garden flowers. The wonders of the changing landscape, the natural beauty and energy of nature vibrating with colour are inspirational to her as she endeavors to depict a positive image. Her creativity has been apparent since childhood and has expressed itself in many formats from interior decorating, house design, sewing, stain glass, folk art, and now watercolour and acrylics. She has a passion for vibrant colours.

Her paintings are representational or abstract in style and have found their way into private collections across Canada and the UK. She has studied under the tutelage of extraordinary BC and American artists.

She works out of her studio and exhibits her works in group shows in the Lower Mainland. You can view her work at Gallery 1710, the Delta Town and Country and the Tsawwassen and Ladner Medical Centres.
